Who is it for

Join WIRED journalists, innovators, and industry experts as they pull back the curtain on technology and innovation in New York City, a global hub for creativity.

From understanding emerging AI to exploring technological innovations, this four-week immersive course builds key skills to engage with cutting-edge technology and AI and apply them to future careers. 

In collaboration with WIRED, the leading authority on the future of tech, students will explore how AI and digital innovation intersect with their own fields of study, from healthcare and humanities to environmental science, design, journalism, business, and more.

Students will learn through lectures, workshops, hands-on labs, expert panels, and industry visits around New York City’s world-leading tech ecosystem. Students will also benefit from personal mentorship from WIRED editors as they explore real-life case studies and present solutions to industry experts, gaining leadership skills and insider knowledge.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old by the beginning of the program. If you’re passionate about tech, enjoy problem solving, and seek to explore the emerging and exciting future of the industry, the WIRED Summer Program equips you with the tools and mindset needed to excel in the business world of tomorrow. No technical experience is required to participate. Develop and present a compelling, evidence-based capstone project pertaining to a global technology issue to a panel of WIRED editors, industry experts, and technology entrepreneurs.

Navigating the Frontiers of Technology

Understanding emerging technological landscapes and their societal impact in New York City and internationally.

Week 2
Technology, Society, and the Public Good

Understand the ethics and regulation of technology as applied to public services. Explore various interpretations of technological ‘morality’ and efforts for inclusion.

Week 3
Innovation for Impact

Explore the applications of technological innovation from the perspectives of healthcare, media, and politics. Understand limitations of technology in these contexts through recent case-studies. Students explore how to turn insights into actionable solutions.

Week 4
Global Tech Futures

Explore the future of technological innovation on a global scale.

Apply

All applicants to the WIRED Summer Program must complete an online application. The application process can be completed in just a few steps. You’ll also have the option to save your progress and return to it any time before submitting your final application.

Early Bird Discount and Scholarships

Students can secure a discounted rate on tuition if they apply before the Early Bird deadline on January 15, 2026. Limited merit scholarships may also be available. Students who would like to express interest in being considered for a merit scholarship can reach out to the admissions team at admissions@wirededucation.com with a short statement about how the funds will help support their participation in the program and help to set them up for future opportunities and careers. If awarded, merit scholarships will be applied directly to the student’s account.
