Tech & Media
Meet journalists and how they report on, and use emerging technologies. Students will learn from media innovators how new technologies like augmented and virtual reality create new possibilities for what media can do.
Work with a group of students to prototype your own journalistic piece that uses technologies to reach audiences in a way that conventional media wouldn’t be able to.

Explore the impact of technology on contemporary culture. Delve into artificial intelligence and emerging technologies while critically examining their ethical implications across global issues such as politics, art, and the environment.
Work in a group to design a concept for a tech tool that solves a social issue or responds to a rising trend while promoting cultural understanding, inclusion, and digital wellness.

WIRED Summer Academy is open to high school students (grades 10-12 and Graduating Seniors based on the grade the student is entering in the Fall 2026 school year). Students must be 15 years old by the first day of the program.
